Location

The Kibbuz Bet Zera is located close to the Jordan river, just 3 km south of the Sea of Galilee and the well known Yardenit Baptismal Site.

The Sea of Galilee has the lowest altitude of any sweetwater lake on earth. It is one of the most visited locations in Israel, particularly as a result of its importance in the Bible. Christian as well as Jewish tourist groups make sure to visit this biblical place on their tours around Israel.

The Yardenit Baptismal Site attracts half a million tourists per year. Devout Christians see it as one of the most spectacular and emotionally moving places in Israel.

Next steps

The project will be further developed by the Bet Zera management team, the project architects (“SO Architecture”: Shachar Lulav und Oded Rozenkier) and the deStarts management team (Beat, Fasnacht, president, Dr. Jonathan Roost and Dr. Andreas Walker) in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism and the Ministry of Economy of Israel.
